Booking A Room

Please book your room using the guidelines below, rather than booking through the hotel's website. The hotel has reserved a certain number of rooms for our use, and booking this way ensures a better rate for you (not to mention accurate numbers for us). The rates advertised on the hotels' websites may vary, and are set to rise, so we’re very glad to be able to offer a special rate to convention attendees for the duration of the convention.

Booking a Room at the Cork International Hotel
At time of writing, there are a very small number of rooms left at our main convention hotel. They may be sold out by the time you read this, but even so you may be able to get on the hotel's waiting list. The special convention rate organised for the Cork International Hotel is €90 per night for a single or double/twin room. Breakfasts are optional, at a price of €10 each per person (so for example, if there are two of you in a room, both having breakfast, the total cost per night will be €110). Please specify if you'd like breakfasts when booking. Room upgrades are also available for an additional charge of €30 per room per night – please ask when booking if you are interested.

Note: Be sure to quote your membership number(s), number of people for the room, dates required, whether you’d like breakfast included or any room upgrades, and the code phrase “IDW Convention 2019” when booking to avail yourself of the special rate.

Booking a Room at the Cork Airport Hotel
Alternatively, there are also rooms available at the nearest alternative hotel, The Cork Airport Hotel, a short 5-minute walk from the convention venue. They have very kindly offered us the following rates for bed and breakfast:
– €115 for a single room
– €125 for a double or twin room
– €135 for a triple room

Other Accommodation
Cork has a wealth of other great quality hotels and hostels available, and regular buses from the city centre. There is also the nearby town of Kinsale, which is on the same airport bus route as the convention hotel. Currently the above two hotels are the only ones with which IDWCon has a special arrangement.
